Different Types of Air Conditioning Systems Available in the Market
It is good to get quality air conditioners installed in your home or office if you want to beat the blistering heat. This kicks off the scorching heat and makes you feel highly comfortable in your home or office. Basically, in many countries, it is hard to live in the hot summers without an air conditioner. Today, every office and home has an air conditioner. But, buying the energy efficient air conditioning helps people to save a lot of amount on their utility bills. However, here are four types of air conditioners that are grabbing the attention of many people to purchase across the globe.
Split systems
This is the most common type of air conditioners installed in small offices and homes. Basically, a cabinet having an evaporator coil is fixed inside the room. And, the job here is to drain out the heat inside the room. The metal box put outside has a condenser coil used to release heat. The compressor used will pump cool air in between these coils. The component connected inside is directly connected to ducts and the cool air will pass through these ducts and cool the room in a few minutes. It is easy to install in home that has a central furnace. However, this AC will cool only the room in which it is installed unlike the central air conditioner.
Heat pumps
This is another type of spilt air conditioning. This can be used in both scorching summer and biting winter seasons. Basically, in summer, it pumps out the hot air inside the home and during winter it extracts air from outside and makes the room warm. This kind of equipment is used in mild climates to heat and cool the rooms with ease. The downside of this kind of air conditioning is that, it does not heat the room, if the mercury levels plummet down. However, a special heat pump called geothermal heat pump can be used to warm the rooms in colder climatic conditions. This pump will extract heat from the ground rather than from the air. In fact, picking a geothermal heat pump helps you to save money on electricity bills.
Packaged air conditioning
In this type of air conditioning, compressor, condenser, and evaporator are equipped in one unit. This kind of air conditioner is placed either on the roof or slab of a home. The ducts placed on the exterior of the walls will extract and remove the heat from inside and return the cool air inside the home, thus making the rooms cooler at a faster pace. This is perfect to install in commercial buildings. You do not need to buy a separate furnace for this air conditioning. All that you need to have is a few heating coils.
Ductless mini-split air conditioning
This is a perfect choice for the homes that do not have ducts to install air conditioning. Similar to the split air conditioning, this air conditioning too have two components, one is indoor condenser and an outdoor compressor. These are mounted on the walls by attaching blowers. And the tubes are connected between indoor and outdoor units to circulate the cool air in either direction. Basically, this air conditioning will cool the room in which the indoor unit is connected. This is almost similar to the window air conditioning. The best part of this air conditioning is that, people do not need to ruin their walls by drilling it for ducts. In fact, people can easily control the temperature of each room. However, these are quite expensive compared to the centralized air conditioning. But, the wonderful thing is that, you can save power on duct area.
