Top 5 Tips – Decorating a Powder Room
The powder room is generally the smallest room in the house, and because of this, it’s usually a little bit of an afterthought. So with that in mind, I thought about what sort of décor ideas I could dig up to make the powder room a little bit more exciting and inviting.
1. Bright Colors:
People always say that a bright color can sometimes make a room seem smaller – for the powder room, there’s nothing to be afraid of. I say that this is the perfect room in the house to experiment with color!

2. Backsplashes:
They’re not just for the kitchen! If you want to venture a little further than just paint, definitely consider brightening up your washroom with some colorful tile work.

3. Exposed Piping:
Doesn’t this look cool? I never thought I’d like to see pipework as an innovative design element, but get a load of this powder room. This design element definitely allows you to be a little mellower when it comes to the rest of the room.

4. Repurposed Furniture:
Sometimes it’s just hard to find the perfect vanity for any of your bathrooms. Scrounge around in a yard sale for a little fixer-upper of a dresser that you can refinish and repaint for use in your washroom.

5. Mirrors:
This last one involves a crazy amount of mirrors, but there’s nothing carnival funhouse about these ones. Mix up frame colors and get out the Windex for this super chic design idea.
