If you’re wanting to do a Spring clean of your wardrobe and come up with a few new ways to organise your wardrobe, you’ve come to the right place! Perhaps you can’t easily see all your clothes and accessories or you simply want to try something new. After all, we spend a lot of time in our wardrobes so making it look great is important. Here are a few simple and unique things you can do to organise your wardrobe!
Start Clearing
Before you can organise your wardrobe properly, you need to get rid of any clothes, accessories, and jewellery you will not wear again. To do this, take everything out of your wardrobe and put it onto your bed. Then, set up three bin bags, one for things you will sell, one for things you will donate and one for things you will keep.

This is a great way of visualising exactly what you are going to keep or get rid of and having the sale bag there might encourage you to sell more than you might otherwise! If you are struggling to decide what to sell, keep or donate, start by picking out items that you know you will not wear, but you don’t think they will sell for any money. These will be items you donate. Then from there, you can decide which pieces you really want to keep that you regularly wear, that fits you well or is something you really love. Anything else can be sold!

At this point, you should also clear anything out from the bottom of your wardrobe. If you’re anything like me, you will probably have all sorts of things thrown in the bottom of your wardrobe, so give everything a good clear out and only keep what you really need. You’ll find out why soon!
Insert Drawers In The Bottom Of Your Wardrobe
For those of you not wanting to spend a fortune on storage or new wardrobes, look on local marketplaces for a small set of drawers to go in the bottom of your wardrobe. You can easily paint them to fit in with your colour scheme and give them a good clean.
Having drawers in the bottom of your wardrobe is fantastic, as it is usually hard to organise the space very much, and you won’t be taking any floor space away from your bedroom. In these drawers you could have underwear, gym clothes or loungewear, and you would be surprised at the difference that small space makes. You might absolutely love swimwear, so you could have one drawer for jewel bikinis, one for plain bikinis and one for swimsuits.
If you can’t find any drawers, go for a few big plastic storage boxes. In these boxes you can have anything that folds well without creasing, such as the items listed above, jumpers or jeans. This will work just as well and might actually give you more room than the drawers! Inserting boxes or drawers in the bottom of your wardrobe will help you to maximise the use of the space and stay organised.
Shoe Hanging Organiser
Previously, you might have kept your shoes at the bottom of your wardrobe, however this is not an efficient use of the space at all. So, now that you have drawers or boxes, you are likely to have cleared some hanging space. Using that spare space, buy two sectioned hanging shoe organisers. These can be attached to the rail inside your wardrobe and you can hang one at each end of the rail, so the wardrobe looks nice and even.

This will save you so much space, your shoes will be stored really nicely and you will easily be able to find what you’re looking for!
Final Thoughts
Organising your wardrobe might seem like a boring task, however you will feel so much more organised when it is done! Plus, you could help local charities by donating or make a bit of money by selling your clothes. Invest some time into this and life will be much easier!
