More of us are working from home than ever before. Even before the current pandemic, people were working remotely from home offices, or starting their own businesses from home. Then, as the world went into lockdown, even more of us were encouraged to work remotely to slow rates of infection and protect ourselves and other people. For some, this change will be permanent. Many businesses are finding that their employees work more productively and creatively at home, and employees are enjoying their work far more without having to commute or sit in an uncomfortable and stuffy office.

The only problem with working from home is that we don’t all have a home office, or the space to install one. Many of us are working on the couch, in our bedrooms or in other crowded areas of our houses. It’s not always easy. Fortunately, your house isn’t your only option. You could be working outdoors in a functional workspace in your backyard. There are many advantages to working outside, and here’s a look at some of them.

It can be hard to feel inspired and creative when you are staring at the same four walls all day, every day. Outdoors, even in your own backyard, you are surrounded by nature. You can hear the birds in the trees, smell the flowers and grass, and see the greenery. You’ll also be able to feel the breeze on your skin.
