Sneak a peek into the homes of India’s biggest movie stars!

Have you ever wanted to see into the homes of India’s biggest movie stars and celebrities? Now you can. And it’s all thanks to home advice expert SimpleGhar. It teamed up with digital designer Oleksii Komarov to create seven layouts of living rooms owned by Indian celebrities based on the photos they’ve shared in the media.

Check them out below.

Shah Rukh Khan

Shah Rukh Khan is the undisputed king of Bollywood. So it’s no surprise that his living room is fit for royalty. A classic and palatial living space, it’s defined by a rich yellow and gold color scheme, lush velvet curtains, and a line of classical portraits hanging on the walls. King Size rugs tie the regal look together.

Priyanka Chopra

Indian actress Priyanka Chopra hit the headlines when she paid over $20 million for a 7-bedroom mansion in LA. But by the looks of this living room design, the Miss World 2000 winner didn’t get much for her money. The double-height walls and exposed walkway crossing create a bare, stripped-down vibe. Symmetrical sofas and an absence of clutter complete the minimal aesthetic.

John Abraham

John Abraham’s epic Mumbai penthouse offers stunning views of the Arabia Sea. The living room is designed to heighten the connection. Natural features like driftwood floors evoke the sense of perfect tranquility you can only get by staring deep into the ocean horizon.

Sachin Tendulkar

Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar hired renowned designer David Tay to create his ideal living space. Tay based this living room on his “New Age” design style; it blends Indian and Western influences to create a look that’s both modern and classical. Deep brown and green earth tones create a cozy feel. It’s a room reminding us that there really is no place like home.

Sidharth Malhotra

Cool, stylish, and uber-modern, Sidharth Malhotra’s living room is a 21st-century design masterpiece. Bold colors and geometric shapes create a playful vibe with a palpable sense of its own style. The walnut treasure chest table and monochrome striped rug add the perfect dash of domestic comfort. A truly unique room that raises the bar for contemporary living design.

Salman Khan

Simple and elegant, Salman Khan’s living room looks like the archetypal lounge of a Bollywood playboy bachelor. But Khan shuns the trappings of celebrity. There are no wild afterparties here. The 57-year-old  actor shares his million-dollar apartment complex with his elderly parents. “You can have all the fame and money in the world, the best of everything”, says Salman. “But it all means nothing without family.”

Sonam Kapoor

Sonam Kapoor employed Rooshad Shroff to refurbish the living room of her Notting Hill home. The brief was simple: modern, stylish, and homely. The sought-after interior designer delivered by combining antique rugs, solid wood flooring, and a contemporary Calanque coffee table by Charles Zana.

Living rooms are more than just spaces to relax; they are our personal sanctuaries. In the words of English designer Sir Terence Orby Conran, “The living room should be a place where we feel totally at home; it should be a temple of the soul.”
