- If you have wooden boards of the same size, you won’t need to cut them. But if you don’t, use a saw to cut them into even-sized pieces. 24 inches would be a perfect size.
- Drill two holes on each of the opposite sides of the boards. Make sure there’s the same distance between them.
- Cut two pieces of the cord, fold them in half and put the folded end under the metal ring, make a loop knot.
- There should be four strands of the rope hanging from the ring. Pull the strands through each of the holes in a board. Make the knots. Cut off the excess cord.
- Drill holes in the wall and so you can hang your shelves.
